Summerland’s September building permits worth close to $8M

Statistics show increase over same month a year earlier

Summerland’s construction activity in September was busier than in past years, according to the municipality’s building permit statistics.

A total of 31 building permits were issued in September, with a total construction value of $7,976,000.

This is significantly higher than the 2019 figures, with 10 permits with a value of $859,000 were issued.

From January to September, a total of 149 building permits, with a total value of $27,610,600 have been issued.

During the same period in 2019, the municipality issued a total of 166 building permits, with a value of $31,327,000.
