Crews will be sweeping the streets in Keremeos on Saturday, May 11 at around 8:30 a.m.

“Where possible, please arrange for vehicles to be removed from paved roadways,” reads a Facebook post from the Village of Keremeos. “If cars prevent a portion of the street from being swept it is unlikely that the unit will be able to return to missed portions. Priority will be given to arterial streets.”

The Village of Keremeos has been contracting out street sweeping services since it decommissioned its old sweeper unit several years ago, the post reads.

For the spring, the village has arranged for the Town of Osoyoos to conduct the sweeping.

The post also states the Ministry of Transportation is responsible for Highway 3 through downtown but because it is the process of transitioning to a new roads maintenance contractor, sweepers in Keremeos may also sweep that area.
