Slackwater Brewing is representing the Okanagan for BC Craft Beer Month’s collaboration brew coming out this week.
The Penticton-based brewery is one of six who worked together on the Explore BC Peach Farmhouse Ale.
Ravens Brewing Company, a family-owned Indigenous Corporation in Abbotsford, selected the other five breweries and then worked together to build the recipe for the ale.
The brew is designed to highlight British Columbia’s craft beer scene and its connection to the agricultural communities of B.C.
It showcases the harmony between the Okanagan Valley’s famed peaches, B.C.-grown barley malt from Country Malt, and hops from the family-owned Brendenhof Hop Farms in the Fraser Valley.
Lærdal Kveik yeast works to create a delicate, rustic farmhouse base that blends perfectly with the subtle peach flavour. And finally, a pinch of Vancouver Island Sea Salt adds a brightness to the fruity finish, making you crave another sip.

The EXPLORE BC Peach Farmhouse Ale is available from select B.C. liquor stores, private liquor store retailers, craft breweries and restaurants starting this week.
The countdown is officially on for the fourth-annual Penticton Beer Week from Oct. 14 to 22.
All eight of Penticton’s breweries have come together to craft a special brew for the occasion, all in the name of giving back to the community.
The new beer — Do Good — will be donated back to worthy causes in the South Okanagan.
Penticton Beer Week will feature special events at breweries before wrapping up its celebration for Oktoberfest at the Lakeside Resort on Oct. 22.
