Shirtless man who caused $30k losses stealing from Penticton helicopter identified

The shirtless man who broke into an airport hangar in Penticton has been identified.

The RCMP thanked the public for their help in putting a name to the face of the man caught on the surveillance camera.

“The male in the photos has been identified and the investigation is progressing,” said Const. Dayne Lyons, Penticton RCMP media liaison. “Only once the investigation has completed, and the matter is forwarded to the BC Prosecution Service for consideration, will we be able to comment further.”

The shirtless man caused almost $30,000 in losses after stealing several expensive pieces of equipment from inside of a helicopter in the hangar.
