An Olalla resident drowned on Saturday, July 20 near Hedley.
The 45 year old man was fishing a remote mountain like known as Heart Lake with a friend when the three metre boat they were in capsized. The other man was able to swim to shore.
Members of the Penticton Search and Rescue team located the body in the lake on Sunday.
There were no life jackets on board the boat.
BC Coroners office and Princeton RCMP are continuing their investigation. The deceased man’ s name has not yet been released.
