A busy intersection in Oliver will be closed from all directions next week because of road work.
Contractors will begin the removal of asphalt at Co-op Avenue and Packinghouse Lane on Monday, July 18, closing the road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The intersection will remain closed through Tuesday evening.
“Drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians are asked to be aware of crews in the area and follow all safety directions,” representatives from the town said.
Next week’s road work is among the several improvements coming to Packinghouse Lane, with the town hoping to accommodate current and future land development projects in the surrounding area of Airport Street.
“These improvements will improve safety for pedestrians and road users, improve traffic operations in the area,” they added.
