Idle is not a descriptive one would use to describe the Keremeos Review and the Similkameen Spotlight’s newest advertising sales associate Jamie Ashley.  When she isn’t raising her four children, she can be seen running along the roadways through Princeton or smacking balls around the golf course.

Now, the Review and Similkameen Spotlight offices will be seeing a lot of Ashley as she settles into her new position.  She is taking over for Tina Salway.  Salway and her family are moving after her husband Sean received a job offer they just couldn’t refuse.  So as newspaper  staff bid Salway farewell, they welcome Ashley to the office.

Salway has spent the last two weeks introducing Ashley to the communities of  Keremeos and Princeton.

Ashley is based out of Princeton, but will be commuting to Keremeos twice weekly.  It is a job Ashley is looking forward to.

“I  am looking forward to getting to know and or reacquaint myself with business owners,” said Ashley.  Tina has been taking me around and introducing me to everyone and I have been enjoying it.”

Ashley’s schedule has her in Princeton on Monday and Friday and in Keremeos on Tuesday and Thursday -  in addition to venturing to Merritt and Penticton on Wednesdays.  She sees her new job as an adventure.  “I really enjoy visiting with the business owners,” stated Ashley “and I like listening to people’s stories.  Everyone has one to tell.”

Ashley will still be a mom first, but is looking forward to settling into her new profession.  “I have already learned quite a few new things about Keremeos and it’s been great getting to know more about what Keremeos, Okanagan Falls, Hedley, Merritt and my hometown Princeton have to offer.  It has been a good eye opener for me and one which I hope I continue to enjoy.”
