The incident took place this past long weekend on Sunday, May 19 at approximately 10 p.m.near Zack’s Town Trader  store  on Highway 3A in Olalla where a male walking on the side of the highway was struck by a vehicle.

The male suffered serious injuries and managed to eventually make it to a residence in the area to call for help after which he was  taken to hospital.

The suspect vehicle was traveling eastbound towards Penticton at the time.

The Keremeos RCMP detachment members are encouraging  anyone with information to come forward.

“If someone left you out for dead on the side of the highway, you’d want people to help out in any way they can” commented Corporal Trudeau, Keremeos detachment commander.

“This could be a case where someone is trying to explain recent unusual damage or marks to their  vehicle  or to a vehicle they borrowed.”

Citizens can also call Crime stoppers with information.
