Police report quiet long weekend

Detachment members responded to 33 calls over the long weekend (Friday to Tuesday).

There were no serious incidents, including driving and traffic related complaints.

The SoberRiders were in town, resulting in one or two complaints about the noise of their motorcycles, but there were no complaints regarding behaviour.

“It was definitely busier than normal, and we appreciate the fact that everyone who passed through town did so respectfully,” said detachment commander Martin Trudeau.
