A Penticton golf course is being sued by a local man who claims that he was seriously injured driving one of its golf carts.

David Turner filed his claim at the Penticton Law Courts on May 3, for an incident that occurred at WOW Golf Club in 2020.

While driving the golf cart down a hill, Turner claims the brakes failed, which caused him to collide with an embankment at the bottom of the hill.

After the collision, the cart flipped and tossed Turner out, causing him to receive multiple fractures, lacerations and other injuries.

The lawsuit claims that Wow was negligent with the maintenance of their golf carts and safety checks before renting them to golfers.

Turner is suing for damages including loss of income and costs for the lawsuit.

No response has been filed by Wow and none of the claims in the lawsuit have been proven in court.
