More flights are set to arrive at Penticton’s Airport.

As Pacific Coastal Airlines celebrated their one-year anniversary of flying into Penticton, the airline announced that it would be adding more flights in the summer.

Pacific Coastal has announced it will increase its flights to offer seven days a week as of June 26, including a new Saturday service starting July 2.

The new airline arrived at Penticton last January to fill the void when Air Canada temporarily stopped flying out of Penticton during the height of the pandemic.

Pacific Coastal Airlines launched a non-stop route between Vancouver (YVR) and Penticton (YYF) starting Jan. 11, 2021.

In addition to Pacific Coastal Airlines and Air Canada, two other commercial airlines provide flights to YYF: WestJet (Calgary and Edmonton) and Cascadia Air, which launched in September 2021, providing direct flights to Vancouver South Terminal as well as commuter/charter/seasonal routes to locations throughout Vancouver Island, Fraser Valley and the Okanagan.
