SORCO’s mission is to support conservation of birds of prey through rehabilitation and a focused promotional and education program which generates public interest and support for the preservation of this vital part of our natural inheritance.

The SORCO facility is enjoying its 26th year in operation and the contribution that SORCO has and will continue to do for the area communities is a vital part of sustaining the area’s ecosystem, natural environment and ensure the healthy retention of a sustainable Raptor population.

SORCO is the only such facility in the Central and South Okanagan and many raptors would suffer and die if it was not for this facility. Wildlife populations continue to compete with the encroachment of development and the work of SORCO provides a fundamental element in the conservation of these unique species.

We are very excited to also announce that our new state of the art clinic will be 50 per cent completed at the time of the open house.  We are expecting to have the facility up and running by the fall of 2013.
