A potential tenancy dispute led to the Oliver RCMP recovering some stolen goods including a saddle on Sunday, Dec. 12.
Officers responded to a call at 5:15 p.m. about a man attempting to break into a business at the 6200 block of Main Street in Oliver.
The officers located a 45-year-old man who was reportedly the business owner who had been locked out due to a dispute with the landlord.
Inside the business, officers were able to see a saddle and two computers, items that had been stolen during a break-in at another business on Main Street two weeks earlier, according to Sgt. Don Wrigglesworth.
The man was charged with mischief and stolen property and released with a future court date.
