The RDOS continues to see active wildfire seasons including the 2020 Christie Mountain wildfire which impacted rural residents and agricultural producers in Electoral Area “D”.

The goal of the session is to address concerns and enhance communication during future wildfire incidents impacting agricultural producers.

The interactive information exchange will provide support for vintners, fruit growers, farmers, ranchers and other producers. Participants will be encouraged to share past experiences and ideas on how to close communication gaps during wildfires.

Registration for the agriculture wildfire information exchange is free and available through the RDOS website at rdos.bc.ca.

All agricultural producers, farmers, ranchers, commodity groups and others involved in agriculture in the Okanagan-Similkameen are invited to attend. Click here for the registration link.
