Nine properties in Twin Lakes under evac order

A potential breach of lakeshore armouring along Twin Lakes Road has caused the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen to issue an evacuation order for nine properties in the Twin Lakes community.

The evacuation order is in effect for 186, 188, 190, 192, 194, 196, 198, 200, 202 Twin Lakes Road.

The RDOS is citing immediate danger to life, health and property from in the community of Twin Lakes as the reason for the evac. RCMP and Penticton Search & Rescue will be expediting this action and the residents or property owners are requested to leave their properties and check in with Emergency Social Services.

It is important for all evacuees to register with ESS even if you do not intend to utilize housing and personal services. Please call 250-486-1890.
