New music program coming to the Grist Mill

New summer music programs are coming to the Grist Mill

Sunday traditional jam

Every couple of weeks through the summer, we’re hosting an acoustical jam session for fans of traditional music (free admission if you bring an instrument and join in). Naturally, enthusiastic audience members are also welcome.

Summer concert series

We’re also proud to announce the line-up for our Evening Concert Series. In order, we’ll be hosting:

July 17 - Scott Cook, Prairie Balladeer - Scott’s straight-talking tunes weave together folk, roots, blues, soul and country influences, with spacious fingerpicked arrangements on guitar, banjo and ukulele.

July 26 - Drumhand - A Toronto ensemble with percussive origins that amalgamates Latin, African and jazz music, you can’t help but get up and dance.

Aug 1 - Shari Ulrich Trio - A Juno Award-winning singer and songwriter, famous not only for her long solo career but also her involvement with Pied Pumkin, U.H.F. and more, she will be performing as a trio with her daughter and a classmate.

Aug 10 - Silk Road - One part classical Chinese music, one part French-Canadian folk music and one part pure joy, Silk Road is a breathtaking intercultural experience. Their innovative sound has earned them a Juno nomination, two West Coast Music Awards and two Canadian Folk Music Award nominations.

Tickets for those shows are $15/person (or $50 for all four) and go on sale on Tuesday, July 2 at the Grist Mill.
