A fatal collision occurred two kilometres east of Princeton on Highway 3 at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Monday, March 7 when a green Pontiac driven by a female and travelling westbound on Highway 3 entered a left hand curve and lost control. The vehicle hit the cement barrier on the outside of the curve and bounced off it, crossing over the centre line and rotating sideways. It then struck an oncoming white Hummer. Road conditions were wet with a light covering of snow.
Deceased is a 23 year old male from North Vancouver. Injured is a 23 year old female from North Vancouver who is in critical condition after being air lifted to Kelowna General Hospital.
Also sustaining injuries is a 58 year old Penticton resident who was treated and released from Princeton Hospital. All names are being witheld at this time.
The investigation continues along with the B.C. Coroner’s Service.
