Summerland’s latest snow measurements show a level near normal at Isintok Lake and above normal at the Summerland Reservoir.
Measurements at the two sites west of Summerland were taken on March 1.

At the Summerland Reservoir, the snow depth was 970 millimetres or the equivalent of 269 millimetres of water. This is 127 per cent of the historical average for the site, measured over 58 years.
At Isintok Lake, the snow depth was 700 millimetres or the equivalent of 152 millimetres of water. This is 99 per cent of the historical average, measured over 56 years.
Snow measurements at both sites are taken on the first of the month from Jan. 1, until May 1, each year. After that, measurements are taken twice a month until the snowpack has melted.
