Based on the support of its members the Lower Similkameen Indian Band is excited to announce the upcoming tender of their 18,000 square foot multipurpose building.
The vote held on May 13, resulted in almost 3-1 supporting the decision to finance the construction of the multipurpose building.
The project is estimated to cost in the order of $8 million and is being funded jointly through Lower Similkameen Indian Band, Health Canada and Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada.
The project will be released for tender on BC Bid during the beginning of June. Construction is anticipated to start at the beginning of August.
