Long-time Penticton police officer to head Oliver RCMP detachment

A police officer from Penticton has been named as the head of the RCMP detachment in Oliver.

Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth will take over the position in early December. At that time, his rank will be promoted to sergeant.

Wrigglesworth has 21 years of policing experience and has worked in South Okanagan communities, including Oliver. Over the years, he has twice been stationed at the Penticton RCMP detachent.

In addition, Cpl. Paul Symons from Langley will be transferred to the Oliver detachment as second in command.
