Tuesday McDonald is gearing up for the biggest bike ride of her life.

The Keremeos realtor will be taking part in the Heart and Stroke Foundation’s “Big Bike” event on Tuesday, May 22 this year.

The Heart and Stroke Big Bike is a team event geared towards community organizations, companies and groups. Teams made up of 29 enthusiastic riders (and one driver provided by the Foundation) pedal through their community in support of heart disease and stroke research.

Thirty Royal LePage team members will pedal the bike on a 20 minute ride through Penticton in an attempt to raise awareness of the Heart and Stroke’s work to reduce cardiovascular disease. The riders will be fundraising, too.

“I have already raised $145 dollars in pledges so far,” Tuesday said on Wednesday, Feb. 29. “I’m looking for more.”
