The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen will acquire a 10-year licence of occupation from the province for the public boat launch facility in Okanagan Falls.

The regional district has operated and maintained this facility for more than 20 years. The last 10-year licence of occupation expired in May 2017, but the license has perpetuated through the holdover clause.

The delay allowed for the design and construction of a new boat launch.

The province has offered the regional district a backdated 10-year replacement license of occupation, expiring in May 2027.
