Keremeos RCMP seek farm vehicle involved in hit and run

Triathlete injured in hit and run, Break in at K Cafe

On August 28, between the hours of 1:30 a.m. and 3 a.m., an unknown suspect and/or suspects forced their way through the back door of the K-Cafe in Keremeos. The unknown suspect and/or suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the restaurant.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., on Sunday, August 28, a cyclist involved in the Subaru Ironman competition was struck by a white flat bed commercial truck on Barcelo Road at McCurdy Avenue in Cawston.

The truck is described as having a flat front and displaying the word “vernon” on the door. The suspect vehicle sped away after the incident.

Unfortunately no licence plate was obtained however, the driver was described as a male possibly of East Indian or Mexican descent. The cyclist suffered minor injuries; the bicycle was extensively damaged.
