From May 29 to at least June 8, the Keremeos Bypass will be undergoing repaving.

AIM Roads and the Ministry of Transportation have hired Peter Bros. Paving to resurface and expand the roadway.

Delays will be in effect for people traveling along the road, and detours will also be required at times.

Any delays are currently expected to be minor, according to DriveBC.

Peter Bros. Paving was also recently awarded the contract for paving work by the Village of Keremeos for multiple streets.

According to the village’s request for proposals, those areas include Veterans Avenue from 4th Street to 7th Street, 9th Street, the alley between 6th Street and 7th Street, Richter Street and 2nd Ave, the intersection of 7th Street and 10th Ave, the intersection of 9th Street and Highway 3, the intersection of 7th Ave and Highway 3, Vanderlinde Drive and the Vanderlinde cul-de-sac and patches of Sparks Drive.

That work is expected to be completed by July 31.
