Members of the Penticton RCMP Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on a White Lake Road residence in Kaleden on March 7, uncovering a large scale marijuana grow op in a bunker underneath a garage on the property.
Police seized 298 marijuana plants along with growing equipment. Two males, including the property owner, were arrested at the scene without incident.
The two men were known to police. They were released with a promise to appear in court May 9.
Police are recommending charges of production of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking to be laid on both men.
Additional charges of breach of recognizance for one of the men has also been recommended.
