On April 9 Penticton RCMP Drug Task Force officers, with the assistance of other Penticton officers, located and arrested escapee James John Jackson, aged 31, who had escaped from Ferndale Institution in Mission on March 19.
Jackson faces new charges of escaping lawful custody and being unlawfully at large in Mission.
Jackson was found hiding under a bed in a residence on Pineview Drive in Kaleden and was arrested without incident. An 18 year old female resident of Kelowna was arrested at the same location on a warrant from Kelowna. She was also charged with obstructing a peace officer.
