On Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, my husband and I attended the Science Fair being put on by a number of Grades 11 and 12 students at our local high school. It did our hearts good to see so many well researched projects covering a large variety of issues our world is facing today. The displays covered such subjects as climate change, renewable energy sources, medical issues, and so many more.

They were all well thought out and well presented. Each student was very articulate and able to answer any questions asked. All were obviously very concerned about the future of our planet and had given a great deal of thought on how to make things better and repair the damage our environment has suffered through many years of extensive pollution and habitat destruction.

Many of our young people are judged by their appearance rather than their intellect these days so seeing such a group of positive thinking, conscientious, and concerned individuals was indeed encouraging and offers hope for the future of us all.

Well done! to all those who participated in the Science Fair.
