They call them scarecrows but they make people smile.
Last week garden club members were seen planting scarecrows in the Keremeos flower planters. We are gardeners, and we are celebrating the changing of the seasons.
This spring, the garden club members enjoyed planting flowers to beautify downtown Keremeos. All summer we maintained the planters and enjoyed their floral display. Autumn has arrived and we look forward to all the beauty this season has to offer.
Soon, members will have a work bee and remove the annuals from the planters, leaving the centre grasses for winter interest. We are taking notes of this year’s many gardening successes and some failures. Conversations have already begun as to what we will plant next year!
Have a happy Thanksgiving weekend.
