Music lovers mark Oct. 17 on your calendars for the third annual Cat Scootin’ Boogie Pub Night at Tug’s Tap House on Martin Street.

A fundraiser for AlleyCATS Alliance, in addition to the live music, food and beverages, there will be a silent auction for a pair of tickets each for Rod Stewart, John Mellencamp and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

Rod Stewart and John Mellencamp are playing at Prospera Place in Kelowna in November and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will be at the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton Nov. 8.

All of the proceeds go to spaying/neutering and medical/food supplies for cats and kittens rescued by AlleyCATS Alliance.

“Spaying and neutering are right at the top of our list, where most of the money goes,” said AlleyCATS business manager Debbie Firman.

Tickets are $25 and include a choice of beef, chicken, veggie or fish burger with salad, soup, fries or chips and salsa and either a beer, wine or cocktail.

There will be live music by the Rob n’ Walker Trio, door prizes, a 50/50 draw and more.

Tickets are available at Jardin Antiques in Okanagan Falls, Total Pet, Bosley’s and Tug’s Tap House in Penticton.
