“Folks at Work” Theme for Labour Day at the Mill

Activities planned for the Grist Mill during Labour Day weekend

The Kettle Valley Brakemen perform at 2 p.m. at the Summer Kitchen during Labour Day celebration set for the Keremeos Grist Mill and Gardens on Monday, September 2.

Special historic interpretations on Labor Day will be all about working people.

Grist Mill Heritage Club volunteers and the site operator, Chris Mathieson, are teaming up to represent a gamut of working folks from around 1877, the year the mill was built.

Labour Day is a half price admission day at the mill, so adults pay $3.50, students and seniors $2.50 and under six years get in for free.

The Keremeos Grist Mill and Gardens is a Provincial Historic Site at 2691 Upper Bench Road in Keremeos Site open 9 to 5 every day from Victoria Day to Thanksgiving.  The website is  www. oldgristmill.ca
