Traffic on Highway 97 near Oliver was stalled early Tuesday morning when a mobile home being transported caught on fire.

“We believe it was a flat tire that caused the unit to catch of fire,” said Oliver Fire Chief Bob Graham. “The mobile home was being transported to a site when it caught fire. The unit was a complete loss, the truck itself was disconnected and is fine.”

The fire department was called to the scene, just north of Road 22, around 4:50 a.m. on Tuesday and Graham said it took about an hour to extinguish the fire.
