A cyclist crossing the Seventh and Seventh intersection in Keremeos was struck by a pickup truck Tuesday afternoon.
The man was knocked several feet by the impact, fortunately thrown clear of the bicycle, which was run over by the pickup.
The victim declined emergency services and police, declaring that he only suffered minor cuts and bruises. He did accept $100 from one of the parties involved for his bicycle, which appeared to be badly damaged.
Emergency services were called to the scene but arrived on scene after the incident had ended.
