Despite being closed due to COVID-19, The Keremeos Library wants people to know that it’s still here for you.
The library is offering various e-resources on their website to help people through these trying times.
If you do not have a library card, you can register for a free e-card online.

The many online resources include hundreds of e-books and audio books and an a virtual chat where you can talk to a librarian about anything or ask questions. The chat service is available Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
E-books can be accessed using an app called “Libby” or downloaded directly to any device.
For parents with children now learning from home, the library is also offering online teaching tools on every subject which can be found under the “Parents and Teachers” and “Homeschooling Help” sections of their website.
The library also has a YouTube channel where you will find family-friendly story times, and many STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) videos.
In addition, there are also many e-resources for adults, including access to over 30,000 films and various home and auto repair guides.
For adults looking to expand their learning, the library is offering many free courses on business and other subjects through Lynda.com.
While the library is closed, they have also made it easy and free to access family history searches through Ancestry: Library Edition, or to learn a new language on Rosetta Stone.
Missing book club? The library is also hosting an adult book club through Zoom.
