The Penticton Curling Club is closed due to a member testing positive for COVID-19, says the curling club’s Facebook page.
The closure came into effect Wednesday.
“We are awaiting further instructions from Interior Health, but until then we feel the right thing to do is to close. We will remain closed until Monday, Nov. 30. If you have symptoms, please contact your doctor,” reads the post.
The curling club finished up the Ashley HomeStore Curling Classic on Nov. 13 and has resumed club play.

The curling club went through extensive changes to adhere to all safety protocols to make curling safe, including reducing curling to four members on the ice and doing temperature checks at the door as well as contract tracing information each time people enter the club.

On Thursday, Interior Health recorded 65 new cases of COVID-19. The COVID exposure at Penticton long term care home Village by the Station is considered over, with just the single staff member.
