Nine residents representing organizations of the Lower Similkameen met with Sarah Trudeau of the Community Foundation of the South Okanagan on March 22. The meeting at the Cawston hall followed a meeting on February 20 in Keremeos at which the general public was introduced to the foundation and what it offers. The participants on March 22 decided that a committee based in the Lower Similkameen is in order. A core of five people will be maintained including a Chairman and Secretary with the general committee consisting of 13 people from Hedley

 

Nine residents representing organizations of the Lower Similkameen met with Sarah Trudeau of the Community Foundation of the South Okanagan on March 22.  The meeting at the Cawston hall followed a meeting on February 20 in Keremeos at which the general public was introduced to the foundation and what it offers.  The participants on March 22 decided that a committee based in the Lower Similkameen is in order.  A core of five people will be maintained including a Chairman and Secretary with the general committee consisting of 13 people from Hedley, Keremeos, Cawston and points in-between. The committee invites anyone interested at the grass roots level to participate even if they are not directly involved in a society or service club.
