Clean Energy Expo coming to Penticton

The Oct. 1 expo will cover a wide range of topics including home retrofits

First Things First Okanagan is expecting to see up to 1,000 people at their Clean Energy Expo on Oct. 1.

This is the fourth alternate energy symposium that First Things First Okanagan has held.

The first symposium on solar energy was held back in 2016 at Okanagan College, and since then the event has grown .

The upcoming Clean Energy Expo will be held on Oct. 1 at the Penticton Lakeside Resort’s East Ballroom from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

This year’s event will highlight ways to retrofit homes to be more energy efficient, clean energy housing, clean transportation, and more.

Entrance to the expo is by donation.

First Things First Okanagan is a Penticton area non-profit that aims to educate the public on the challenges and solutions to a warming climate, and to work with all levels of government and business, and individuals, to lower our carbon footprint.
