I have three years experience as councillor in Keremeos, something I feel will be an asset in this election round. I have developed a good understanding of local issues and in the course of my present term as councillor have learned the importance of objectivity.
I would like to continue to work with the rest of council on the village’s Official Community Plan, as well as the Solid Waste Management Plan. I will continue to work with the Keremeos Irrigation District to improve our water supply and quality, and promote strategic growth in the village.
In addition, I will work towards the establishment of light industry in the village, and for a much needed funding increase for the rec centre.
In my past three years as councillor, I have worked on the Farmworkers Campground Committee, and currently sit on the Recreation Committee.
I am also part of the Garden Club and the Rails to Trails Committee.
A vote for me will ensure the citizens of Keremeos that the village will have a hard working councilwoman committed to maintaining the high standard of public service to which they have become accustomed.
