A Burnaby resident took home the prize for the Cawston Primary School Parent Advisory Commmittee’s 50/50 fundraiser.
The winner will take $2,035 of the $4,070 total in tickets, with the other half going to support paying for the school’s new playground.
The playground at Cawston Primary was recently replaced with a brand-new set of connected slides, monkey bars and other stations that are challenging, fun, and also accommodate children with limited mobility. The kids love it, said a PAC member helping to organize the 50/50 fundraiser. This year the PAC is trying a new format of a fundraiser, an online 50/50 draw.
The draw for the fundraiser was on Feb. 12.
