Okanagan College’s Penticton campus is opening its doors this spring to connect local employers and career seekers with each other.

The Penticton Campus Career Fair will be held on April 5 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Centre of Excellence on 583 Duncan Avenue West.

Employers from the hospitality, food, wine, tourism, administration, recreation, corrections, early childhood education industries are expected to attend the event.

“The Penticton campus prides itself on collaborating with the community, and the fair is an opportunity to connect employers in the region with much-needed talent,” said Meri Kim Oliver, Okanagan College Vice-President Students.

The upcoming event isn’t just limited to students, though.

Community members looking for a career are welcome to attend as well, free of charge.

The event will also serve as a fundraiser for the Penticton Campus Harbour Food Bank, with employers set to bring non-perishable food items to the campus on the day of the fair.

Community members are also welcome to donate to the food drive by bringing items of their own.

Admission to the event is free for all attendees.

Employers needing space for a booth at the fair are asked to email rdopenticton@okanagan.bc.ca.

Additional information for employers attending the event is available here.
