Emergency crews responded to the scene Bits and Bites Cafe in Osoyoos Wednesday afternoon after a car jumped the curb onto the sidewalk.
There were no injuries in the minor crash, which left a sidewalk completely blocked and a lengthy ding along the passenger side of the vehicle, caused by a pole on the sidewalk.
The pole, too, was bent from the car, but there appears to have been no damage to the cafe.
Fire crews said the vehicle had backed up out of a parking spot before attempting to pull back in as traffic approached. However, the driver hit the pedal too hard and jumped up onto the sidewalk.
