Apple harvest underway in the Similkameen

It's harvest time in the Similkameen as grapes and apple crops ripen ahead of schedule this year.

Nanjit and Tegvinder Saran were busy completing the packing of a front yard full of gala apples on September 18. The Saran orchard on Barcello Road in Cawston is one of many in the valley who are busy harvesting apples.
