A pickup truck parked on Ellis Street had its gas tank drilled through, causing petrol to spill all over the ground.

The Penticton Fire Department was called on the morning of March 12 to clean up the spill.

The owner of the GMC Sierra pick-up isn’t sure how much was taken, as much of it had dried by the time he made the discovery, but he noted that he had put $40 worth of gas into the tank the previous day.

Penticton RCMP also attended the scene.

Last month, someone drilled into the tank of an F-150 pickup, spilling out between 40 to 50 litres of gasoline into the Boston Pizza parking lot.

That scene required the Ministry of Environment to assist with the cleanup.
