2 Penticton and 2 Summerland schools report potential COVID-19 exposures

There are currently five schools from district 67 listed by Interior Health

Two more Summerland schools and two Penticton schools have reported COVID-19 exposures, according to Interior Health.

Summerland Middle School had previously reported potential exposures from Nov. 15 to 18.

Summerland Secondary is new to the list with potential exposures on Nov. 18 and 19, and Giant’s Head Elementary has reported exposures from Nov. 16-19 and Nov. 22.

In Penticton, KVR Middle School has reported potential exposures from Nov. 16-18 and Penticton Secondary School has reported exposures from Nov. 17-19.

A potential exposure means staff or students attended school having COVID-19 and later tested positive for the virus.

Vaccinations for children aged five to 11 begin on Nov. 29, with thousands registered ahead of time.
