Slippery sections on Highway 97 in the South Okanagan: DriveBC

Advisory also issued for Highway 3 with morning temperatures below 0 C on Feb. 9

DriveBC is warning of slippery sections along Highway 97 between Summerland and Osoyoos on Friday, Feb. 9.

The advisory comes as temperatures dip below zero in some parts of the South Okanagan.

Motorists are asked for slippery sections, starting from Bridgeman Road in Summerland and through to the Canada-U.S. border.

The same warning has been issued for Highway 3, between Hedley and Rock Creek. Highway 3A has some areas with compact snow Friday morning.

Environment Canada says Friday’s high will be 2 C in the South Okanagan, with temperatures expected to dip below zero overnight and -7 C with the windchill.
