Prolific offender to return to Penticton court Monday for bail hearing

The bail hearing for a local man arrested on an outstanding warrant for domestic-related offences has been adjourned until Monday.

Lloyd Baptiste was arrested July 31, 2019, and faces multiple charges including: one count of flight from a peace officer; one count of assaulting a peace officer; one count of driving while prohibited; four counts of breach of conditional sentence order; two counts of willfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer; and two counts of breach of undertaking or recognizance. Baptiste appeared before the court via video on Friday.

At his hearing, his defence lawyer Michael Patterson requested the bail hearing be adjourned back to the judicial case manager, and a 30-minute bail hearing is now set for Monday.
