A Keremeos orchard has filed a lawsuit for over $14,000 against a Richmond grocer that allegedly failed to pay for produce.

Peach King Farms ltd. filed the lawsuit on March 10 in Penticton against G.J. Farm Fresh Produce ltd.

The lawsuit alleges that Peach King delivered fresh produce from August 2024 to October 2024, worth $13,355.

Since then, the orchard claims, multiple requests for payment have gone unanswered.

In addition, Peach King says G.J. still has the bins used to deliver the produce, which are worth $800.

According to court records, no response has yet been filed and the claims have not been tested in court.
