So many sports on Sunday and so little time.
If you aren’t a Grey Cup fan, there is live hockey action to watch at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
The Penticton Silver Bullets, a revived independent hockey franchise that found success in the 1990s, play their first home game of the season at the SOEC on Sunday night.
Penticton will play the Lumby Lumberjacks. Admission is free and puck drop is at 5:30 p.m.
Set to be the third game of the 2023-2024 senior men’s AA season for both teams, Sunday’s showdown was originally scheduled to take place in the North Okanagan.
Matthew Fraser, the Silver Bullets captain, says it will now be played at the SOEC as a neutral-site game.
“It should be a fun evening, and we’re looking forward to playing in Penticton,” Fraser said.
Colton Gillies, who played for the Minnesota Wild and Columbus Blue Jackets from 2008 to 2013, will be among those to suit up for Penticton’s squad.
But if you can’t make this game, fans of the Penticton Silver Bullets can catch the team’s official home opener at Memorial Arena on Nov. 24.
