Environment Canada has issued a severe weather warning for the much of British Columbia's Southern Interior.

The warning includes the Okanagan, East Kootenays, Nicola, Boundary, South Thompson and West Columbia.

Heavy rainfall, hail, destructive winds and lightening are all a possibility throughout the day. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms systems.
