Celebrate B.C. Day in Penticton’s Gyro Park

It’s a full day of family fun and a whole lot of live music to enjoy

Penticton’s Gyro Park swill be the place to be for B.C. Day.

The Downtown Penticton Business Improvement Association is putting on the day’s family festivities, which start at 10 a.m. and run until 4 p.m.

All through the day there will be face painting, arts and crafts, yoga in the park and plenty of vendors.

Local musician Kyle Anderson will be serving as MC for the day’s events.

The day starts off with a morning yoga session hosted by Starlit Yoga.

Then, at 11 a.m. singer and songwriter Joshua Smith will be performing at the Gyro Park bandshell.

Smith has previously performed at the DPBIA’s Saturday community market.

Head down to the park just before noon to catch the piper, before Serenity Baptiste performs the Okanagan Song.

At 12:05 p.m., the afternoon’s musical performances begin, starting with Liz Tribe.

At 1 p.m., Penticton’s own Gord McLaren takes the stage, followed by local rock band Jack and Jill at 2 p.m., and En Karma at 3 p.m. to close out the day’s musical line-up.
