Come out for the apple pie eating contest, zucchini races and apple races down the river at the the Heritage Fall Fair today, Sunday, Sept. 25 at Grist Mill in Keremeos from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Apple Pie Baking Contest (1 p.m. drop-off, 3 pm. Judging)

Celebrity judges will choose this year’s best pie.

Zucchini Races (back this year!)

Children of all ages design and decorate giant zucchinis—complete with wheels—and race their creations down the Great Zucchini Race ramp.

Carnival and Field Games (All Day)

Enjoy some of the many games of skill and other pass-times that children and adults would’ve enjoyed in the 1880’s, from peg-in-the-bottle and “graces” to races and relays.

Vendor Alley (All Day)

Join artisan vendors from around the Similkameen and Okanagan as their sell their hand-crafted food, arts and crafts. \

Gotta Goat Farm (10-2 p.m.)

Visit with the cutest goats in the South Okanagan. Both Nigerian Dwarf and Miniature Silky Fainting goats coming to play.

Summer Kitchen Music Stage (11- 3 p.m.)

Join Silly of the Valley for their roving entertainment as well as face-painting and balloon animals.

Purple Ducky Hunt (All Day)

Find one of the hidden duckies around the site, bring it to the General Store and get a prize!

Don’t miss the Apple Race (2:30 p.m.)

One of our favourite kids’ activities is our annual apple race down Keremeos Creek. Fastest apple down the rapids, wins!
